The jacket is constructed of a pyrogel infill layer sandwiched between two woven glass fabric sheets coated with a flame retardant, weather resistant silicone polymer. The Pyrogel XTE layer is formed of silica aerogel reinforced with a non-woven, glass-fibre batting.
