Centreless grinding machines, numerically controlled Centreless grinding machines are used for grinding the external diameters of workpieces. In the centreless process, the workpiece is not fixed but rests on a rail between the rotating grinding disc and a guide disc (also driven). The diameter required is determined by the distance between the grinding disc and the guide disc.
